     Utilities:  All are included (electricity, cooking gas, heat, and hot water).  Your only additional monthly expense would be telephone and cable, if desired.

     Security Deposits:  all are a standard amount of "two months rent" without exception.

     Leases:  all are a full 12-month term.

     Other:  The building has no central air conditioning, and window air conditioners, space heaters, and halogen lamps are not allowed.

Howe Place Apartments are located at 70 Howe Street, New Haven, Connecticut, on the block between Chapel and Edgewood.  It is the first 6-story building on your left when turning right off Chapel Street.

About the Building

Howe Place Apartments is a classic 1920's apartment building located at the edge of Campus in the "Central District" along the Yale Shuttle Bus Line.  It is an elevatored, 6-story structure with brick facade and modern vinyl double-hung insulated windows.  Other modernizations include a hard-wired fire safety system with pull stations and a monitored security access system.  Instead of keys, the building is accessed with a computer-controlled access card.  A coin-operated laundry with four washers and four dryers is located in the basement along with a Bicycle Room protected by the security access card.

About the Apartments

Each apartment comes with a stove and refrigerator.  The living and bedroom areas have beautiful oak hardwood floors and the walls and ceilings are finished in white.  The kitchens and bathrooms are kept to the 1920's vintage with original cupboards and ceramic tile surfaces and fixtures.  All our apartments are rented unfurnished.

Storage, Parking and Pets

Storage outside the apartment is not available.  Parking does not come with the apartment although we can refer you to Yale's Lot 80 across the street or a neighboring lot for accommodations.  Pets are limited to one cat, no dogs.
